Drone Pilot

ACOM Aviation Academy has successfully trained numerous wiregrass area residents on the FAA rules and regulations required to safely operate your drone.  Our program will give you the tools you need to pass the aviation knowledge exam and become a commercial drone pilot.  Even if you don't want to fly your drone for hire, our course will help you understand the airspace around you so you can make sure to avoid violating any FAA rules!

  • Classes are conducted at the Dothan Regional Airport on Thursday nights from 6:30pm - 8:30pm.

  • Classes start the first Thursday every other month (Jan, Mar, May, July, Sep, Nov) and last for two months. 

​

  • We provide all materials and our certified flight instructors will make sure you complete the course with a solid foundation of aviation knowledge.  Cost for each course is just $199
