About ACOM Aviation Academy
ACOM Aviation Academy was founded in 2017 to provide quality flight training at an affordable cost. Over the past 5 plus years we have grown into the best and largest flight school in southeast Alabama. We have five airplanes and multiple instructors on staff to ensure you can fly when it fits your schedule. We also ensure our airplanes are properly maintained so you're not sitting on the ground wishing you were flying!

Dothan Regional Airport (KDHN)
While there are many good airports around the wiregrass, ACOM Aviation Academy has chosen Dothan Regional Airport (KDHN) to be our home. KDHN offers the best support with full service refuel by Aero-One Aviation's fully trained and experienced ground crews. The superior safety and readiness of the Dothan Airport Fire and Police Departments make for a safer training environment. Learning to fly at a Class D airport will also teach you how to communicate with air traffic controllers from the start, while helping you meet some of your FAA training requirements.

You shouldn't have to pay an arm and a leg to fulfill your dream. Besides cost, aviation can seem very complicated and most people don't know where to start. ACOM Aviation Academy can help you build a plan to affordably meet your goals. We provide training from private pilot through flight instructor and are excited to make new friends and support aviation in the Wiregrass.

ACOM Aviation Academy has reliable aircraft to fit your mission. The Twin Comanche and the Piper Cherokee are some of the most common and proven aircraft in service. We also have some of the most experienced aviation maintenance technicians in the area making sure our airplanes are safe and airworthy.
