Our fleet
ACOM Aviation Academy operates five training aircraft based at Ozark-Blackwell Airport (71J), priced to keep your hours moving. A primary VFR Cherokee, two instrument Warriors, and two Twin Comanches for multi-engine training and time-building.
The lineup
Each rate is wet (fuel included) and current as of this page. Call us for block-time pricing and rental-only availability if you already hold a certificate.
Multi-engine
Our original multi-engine trainer. Counter-rotating propellers eliminate the critical-engine problem that bites students on single-engine drills, and the cabin is roomy enough for long IFR cross-countries.
Single-engine
Our primary instrument trainer — a Warrior with a Garmin 430W stack and digital backup nav/com. The fixed gear and tame handling let students focus on procedures instead of fighting the airplane.
Single-engine
Our entry-level VFR trainer. The 140 is the cheapest hour we offer — perfect for primary students building toward solo, and for hour-builders who just want to fly.
Multi-engine
Dual Garmin G5 displays, a GNS 530W navigator, and an S-TEC autopilot make this our most capable IFR multi-engine platform. A second Comanche means students never lose a slot when the other one is down for maintenance.
Single-engine
We run two Warriors so an avionics squawk on one never lands a student on the bench. Same Garmin stack, same flight characteristics, identical training experience.
Why this lineup
We fly Pipers because they are forgiving for primary students, easy for instructors to teach in, and economical to maintain — which keeps your hourly rate down. Two Twin Comanches mean you have a multi-engine slot even when one is in maintenance.
