Discovery Flight in Ozark, AL
The Discovery Flight is the easiest way to find out if learning to fly is right for you. You'll get a short ground briefing, walk through a real preflight inspection, then take the controls in the air with a certified flight instructor right beside you. Most students leave with a logbook entry and a clear idea of what comes next.

How it goes
Three stages, no surprises.
We move at your pace, but we map every milestone up front. You always know what's next and who you'll be flying with.
01
Briefing
We meet at the hangar at 71J, talk through what you'll do in the air, and walk around the aircraft together so you know what every part is for.
02
In the air
Your instructor handles takeoff, then it's your hands on the controls for level flight, turns, climbs and descents. We'll fly the local Wiregrass area for about 30 minutes.
03
Debrief
Back at the hangar we log the flight, answer questions, and — if you're ready — map out your training plan from this point to your private pilot certificate.

FAQs
Common questions.
How much does a discovery flight cost?+
Pricing varies by aircraft and how long we fly. Call (334) 443-3784 for current discovery flight pricing — we keep it accessible because we want you to actually try it.
Do I need any experience?+
None. Most discovery flight students have never touched an airplane. The instructor handles anything you're not comfortable with and you only do as much as you want to.
Can I bring someone with me?+
Yes — we have aircraft that can take an extra passenger. Just let us know when you book and we'll match you to the right airplane.

Ready when you are
Don't let another year go by on the ground.
Five years from now, you can be the person who flew their family to the beach last weekend — or the person still talking about it.
Most people who say they'll learn to fly never do, because they never take the first step. Book a discovery flight today and we'll be in the air this week.
